Percocet Information

The combination oxycodone/paracetamol (North American trade name Percocet) is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe acute (short-term) pain.

Sold without prescription in free online trade, Percocet can be an optimal solution for those wanting to avoid the trouble of getting the prescription and going to a brick-and-stone drugstore to find the medicine they are looking for. To better understand the principles of Percocet mechanisms, let’s briefly dwell on its description and history.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration first approved Percocet in 1976, under application ANDA 085106.

Opioids are used to relieve acute and chronic pain. However, Percocet is recommended for management of short term (five days or less) of acute pain only. By definition, acute pain can be relieved by pain killer therapy. During a recent U.S. study of adult workers, 13% of them reported a loss of productive time due to inadequate treatment of acute pain. An average of 4.6 hours per week were lost due to lower employee performance at work. This loss of productive time was four times longer lost to absenteeism.

The most common side effects of Percocet are nausea, dizziness and vomiting. It was demonstrated that there were fewer cases of constipation and vomiting with the combination of Percocet codeine/acetaminophene3 (such as Tylenol 2 or 3) and about 50% less nausea and vomiting with the combination of hydrocodone/acetaminophene4 (as generic Percocet). During clinical trials, it was demonstrated that Percocet was as effective as the combination of codeine / acetaminophen for pain relief after surgery and the combination hydrocodone / acetaminophen for the treatment of postoperative dental pain.

Clinical trials have also demonstrated the efficacy of a product Percocet as an adjunct to anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as naproxen and COX-2 inhibitors like Celebrex for the treatment of pain caused by osteoarthritis aigue5.

Clinical studies have shown that the use of Tylenol 2 Tylenol 3 and Percocet is also more effective than Tramacet (an analgesic combination tramadol 37.5 mg and 325 mg of acetaminophen) for acute pain. Most clients will automatically cover ClaimSecure Percocet with their current system of free drugs. However, for customers who pay according the scheme managed by ClaimSecure the drug will be excluded because of additional costs, which do not justify its side effect profile slightly beneficial.
